1. Changi Airport
Singapore's Changi Airport has consistently won the title of "World's Best Airport" and for good reason. It features a stunning indoor waterfall, a butterfly garden, a cactus park, slides connecting floors, a cinema, and even a wedding hall. It’s said that travelers secretly hope for flight delays just to enjoy more of what this incredible airport has to offer! 😎

Jewel Changi Airport
Changi Airport boasts a massive nature-themed complex, nestled within one of the world’s largest passenger terminals. Its crown jewel is the Rain Vortex, the tallest indoor waterfall in the world, standing 40 meters high. In the evenings, the illuminated waterfall creates a magical atmosphere that’s truly unforgettable.
However, the waterfall doesn’t operate 24/7, so I had to wait for its scheduled start time (as you’ll notice in the video).
Opening hours:
Monday - Thursday 11:00 - 22:00
Friday - Sunday 10:00 - 22:00
Location: Jewel complex

Butterfly Garden
Changi Airport’s Butterfly Garden is a unique gem, being the world’s first butterfly garden in an airport. Located in Terminals 2 and 3, it’s home to over 1,000 tropical butterflies from 40 different species. The lush greenery, flowering plants, and even a small waterfall create a tranquil escape from the bustling airport environment. Passengers can walk through this peaceful haven, observe butterflies up close, and even learn about their life cycle at the educational corners. It’s a refreshing and memorable experience for nature lovers and curious travelers alike.

Located in Singapore’s vibrant Little India neighborhood, this massive supermarket offers just about everything: sportswear, shoes, watches, makeup, perfumes, gadgets, food, and more. It’s a one-stop shop where you can find almost anything you need. I managed to buy clothes and shoes for children at prices much lower than back home.
Key Highlights:
-
If you arrive with bags, be prepared for security protocols: your bags will be sealed at the entrance and unsealed upon exiting.
-
Prices are undeniably cheap. Concerned about authenticity, I asked an employee if the items were counterfeit. He assured me that selling replicas is a serious criminal offense in Singapore, and it’s strictly prohibited.
-
To verify further, I consulted a local contact who explained that most items are authentic but from older collections, which is why they’re priced so affordably.
